Klipboard Expands ERP One’s Flooring Capabilities for North American Distributors

CARY, N.C., November 2026 – Klipboard, the industry-specific business software provider, has expanded ERP One, its cloud ERP platform, with new capabilities purpose-built for flooring distributors, dealers and fabricators across North America.

Klipboard already has an established presence in flooring distribution, with its solutions powering over half of the top 20 flooring distributors in North America. The new capabilities extend that foundation across branch, showroom and web, giving flooring businesses a single system built around how the industry actually sells and moves product.

ERP One now tracks inventory by roll, width and remaining length, with cut-to-length processing that selects the optimal roll for a job. Remnants and short ends are re-stocked and priced as their own batch rather than written off, and unit-of-measure conversion moves the same item between square feet, packs and pallets. Shade and dye-lot control prevents mismatched batches from being allocated to the same job and supports accurate match-back on repeat orders.

ERP One separates price, cost and waste models by transaction type — roll, cut or remnant — so promotions built for one mode can't leak into another. Supplier and customer rebate programs are managed with the same precision, reflecting how material rebates are to true profitability in flooring.

Because flooring sells by room and by project rather than by line item, ERP One now carries a job from showroom selection through quote, order and fulfillment with no rekeying, applying credit, margin and pricing controls at the point of order entry.

Flooring is one of the toughest verticals to serve with a generic ERP, because the margin really does live in the details: the roll versus the cut, the dye lot, the remnant. We've spent the past year building that logic natively into ERP One, from the warehouse to the website, so our customers aren't working around the system to protect their margin — the system is doing it for them."

- Dean Petrone, CEO of Klipboard Americas

ERP One now supports distribution-grade branch, warehouse and logistics operations built for flooring's scale: multi-branch and inter-branch transfer, location-accurate warehouse visibility even when batches share identical packaging, directed picking, three-stage receiving, delivery planning, electronic proof of delivery, and special-order handling through a distribution center with cross-docking.

That same flooring logic now extends across every channel. ERP One's B2B eCommerce carries batch selection, roll and cut pricing, shade validation, unit-of-measure expansion and live availability online, alongside visualization tools, EDI and FCB2B-style data exchange and integrated payments — with installation and claims management increasingly part of that connected experience.

Petrone added: "Flooring distributors don't just need an ERP system, they need one that understands how flooring is actually bought, cut and sold. That's what we've built with ERP One, a platform with the depth of a specialist flooring system and the scale of a true distribution ERP, so customers get both without compromise."

For North America specifically, ERP One handles the compliance and commercial requirements distributors depend on: sales tax determination, exemption certificate control, ACH, trade credit and surcharging.

These capabilities are available now within ERP One for flooring distributors, dealers and fabricators operating across North Amerca.
